Nzal Sallem 3a Beirut
In light of the recent events that have unfolded in Lebanon, we are in desperate need for a change in scenery. With that being said, “Al-Wein on Bliss” hopes to serve as an opportunity to provide everyone with an unforgettable weekend of entertainment. This festival is set to become an annual event celebrating cultural diversity while bringing together communities through a series of vibrant performances, workshops, exhibitions, and activities. This highly anticipated event is set to be located in the heart of Beirut, Ras Beirut, on Bliss main street.
"Al-Wein on Bliss” will be held on the third weekend of March Saturday and Sunday the 1& 2. The area covered will be from the Blue bldg. till Bank Audi; the surrounding area will be secured by the Interior Security Forces ISF, Lebanese Army, and a private security firm. The event will include a high-tech fully equipped stage at the end of Bliss Street to allow for our live variety of performances from 6PM till midnight each day. This will be coordinated with the assistance of Rock Production who are providing us with the sound and light systems.
This event is under the patronage of the Ministry of Tourism, Ministry of Communications, and Ministry of Economy, with the cooperation and support of the Syndicate of Lebanese Actors, Artists, and Musicians, as well as Beirut Vision, a local NGO. Through all these collaborators, we are hoping to ensure that this unique cultural and social experience is aimed at reviving and celebrating Beirut’s history and traditions through bridging the divide between the old generation of Beirutis with the new generation.
Media coverage has already been secured through Virgin Radio, Beiruting, and Lebtivity; with Al Jadeed TV station as our media partner. We will also be continuously promoting this event through social media, press conferences, radios, posters, billboards, and selected influencers.
To cover our costs, we will implement an inexpensive entrance fee of $5, thus ensuring a certain caliber of visitors. It is projected that approximately 20,000 to 30,000 visitors will attend the event over the course of the weekend, especially considering the extensive activities and performances we have lined up.
Our performances include jazz and blues bands, a variety of famous Lebanese singers, Zaki Nassif chorale with the collaboration of AUB Faculty of Arts & Science, plays, stand-up comedy, mime, a “hakawati” from Beirut, musicians, painters, artists, and much more. This diverse program will ensure that we cater to all our visitors’ tastes and blend the different cultures of Lebanon together.
Our focus is on promoting new talent from Lebanon, with two main performances, supported by the talented Mr. Jamal Fayyad and the Syndicate of Artists and Actors. Our exhibitors are mainly local crafts men and women; including clothes, accessories, handmade items, antiques and vintage objects, books, paintings, and more. The exhibitors will be hand selected to ensure a diverse blend of talent and merchandise. There will also be live demonstrations and workshops of traditional Lebanese art, such as pottery, as well as a gaming area, escape room, and play area for toddlers
”Al-Wein on Bliss" is targeting all families, young and old, from all over the country in an effort to unite all Lebanese people together.
