"Frame مؤقت " brings together 13 participants from the three previous Beiroot Bodies programs. Created during a month and a half of intensive training, this performance uses movement and storytelling to reflect on personal and collective experiences.

Beiroot Bodies places the body at the center of storytelling. Through contemporary dance and physical theater, participants express their beliefs and aspirations, and how changing circumstances reshape the patterns of their movement. It is a three-month program by Beirut Physical Lab (BPL) that helps artists explore their memories and stories through movement.

"Frame مؤقت " is a raw and honest performance, blending skills from the program with the fluidity of adapting to shifting realities.

"Frame مؤقت" يجمع 13 مشاركًا من برامج ’Beiroot Bodies‘ الثلاثة السابقة. تم إعداد هذا العرض خلال شهر ونصف من التدريب المكثف، ويستخدم هذا العرض الحركة ورواية القصص للتفكير في التجارب الشخصية والجماعية.

يضع ”Beiroot Bodies“ الجسد في مركز رواية القصص. من خلال الرقص المعاصر والمسرح الجسدي، يعبّر المشاركون عن معتقداتهم وتطلعاتهم وكيف تعيد الظروف المتغيرة تشكيل أنماط حركتهم. وهو برنامج مدته ثلاثة أشهر من بيروت فزكل لاب (BPL) يساعد الفنانين على استكشاف ذكرياتهم وقصصهم من خلال الحركة.

"Frame مؤقت“ هو أداء صادق يمزج بين مهارات البرنامج وسلاسة التكيف مع الواقع المتغير.

Beirut Physical Lab

Beirut Physical Lab (BPL) is a central hub for contemporary dance and physical theater in Beirut, serving as a focal point for local and international artists to connect, exchange ideas, and collaborate, fostering a rich and safe creative environment in the country.

BPL aims to nurture the next generation of physical performers. We are dedicated to provide young/emerging artists educational and performative opportunities to explore and refine their skills. Through a series of workshops and educational programs, we cater for both emerging professional performers and individuals interested in discovering and exploring movement. We aim to expand these art forms within our local context finding the relation between our culture and the global contemporary scene. We are working on fostering collaborations with international contemporary dance programs and festivals to create pathways for our community to engage with educational and performative opportunities on a global scale.

BPL collaborates with both local and international artists to create performances that not only give voice to various causes but also deepen the audience's understanding and appreciation of contemporary dance and physical theater. Hoping to present a new perspective of these art forms in the local scene.
