Beirut Chants Festival
Beirut Chants is Lebanon’s leading annual classical music festival, held every December across the city’s historic churches and cultural venues. Founded in 2007, the festival has grown into a landmark event that brings together the finest local and international musicians and offers the public free access to world-class performances. Built on a mission of openness, dialogue, and cultural resilience, Beirut Chants has remained active through Lebanon’s most challenging years, transforming music into a space for community, healing, and shared hope. Each edition presents a curated program of orchestral concerts, sacred music, chamber ensembles, choirs, Arabic music, and contemporary classical works. The festival proudly collaborates with international embassies, cultural institutes, and global artistic partners—including
ensembles and soloists from Europe, the Middle East, and beyond—while continuing to highlight the talent of Lebanese musicians, choirs, and emerging artists. Today, Beirut Chants stands as a cultural bridge, a platform that democratizes music, celebrates artistic excellence, and reaffirms Beirut’s place on the global cultural map. With thousands of attendees every year and millions reached online, the festival remains a testament to the city’s enduring spirit and its belief in the power of culture because “music is not a luxury.”
